2009 Planting Season Comes to an End

We would like to thank all of our 2009 volunteers for a job well done. As of April 4, 2009, the Mountain Communities Wildfire ReLeaf 2009 volunteers and CALFIRE crews planted over 72,000 trees across the communities in the San Bernardino Mountains. We look forward to working with all of you again next season.

2009 Planting Dates Announced!!!

Mountain Communities Wildfire ReLeaf will be planting approximately 70,000 seedlings again in Spring 2009. Dates are tentatively scheduled and will be dependent on the weather for each date selected. All plantings are currently planned to take place in the San Bernardino Mountain communities of Lake Arrowhead, Skyforest, Running Springs, and Green Valley Lake.

Dozens of Volunteers Replant Seeds of Life

CEDAR GLEN - Several yards from a charred pine, Bruce Cranfill and his 8-year-old son, Robert, delicately planted a sapling on a hillside Saturday morning in an effort to reforest acres left scarred by devastating wildfires last fall.
