Pre-registered Volunteers Getting Ready to Get to Work!

All volunteer opportunities for the 2010 season are currently full. Anyone planning to volunteer must have already registered with our program. If you are a registered volunteer you will receive emails prior to your volunteer date - these emails will give you instructions and directions to the meeting location for each volunteer date. Please check your emails for further instructions and directions. If you have registered and have not received an email double check your spam mail.

Looking forward to a rewarding and productive season of planting.

Volunteer Registration Is Now Full For The 2010 Season!!

**Mountain Communities Wildfire ReLeaf will be planting approximately 70,000 seedlings - due to the overwhelming response to our request for volunteers all volunteer positions have been filled.

We would like to thank everyone who has shown such interest in our sixth season of planting. If you are interested in being placed on the waiting list please email cheryl.nagy@gmail.com As positions become available we will be contacting those on our waiting list.**

It's time for the 2010 planting season to kick off!!!

Mountain Communities Wildfire ReLeaf will be planting approximately 70,000 seedlings - so volunteers are needed to once again make this a successful season.

Dates are tentatively scheduled and will be dependent on the weather for each date selected. All plantings are currently planned to take place in the San Bernardino Mountain communities of Lake Arrowhead, Skyforest, Running Springs, and Green Valley Lake.

2010 Planting Season In The Works

We are currently working with our CALFIRE partners to locate and secure our planting sites for the 2010 planting season. Please continue to visit our website for the updated dates and locations for the upcoming season. During our 2009 planting season, the Mountain Communities Wildfire ReLeaf volunteers and CALFIRE crews planted over 72,000 trees across the communities in the San Bernardino Mountains. We look forward to working with all of you again during our upcoming season.

2009 Planting Dates Announced!!!

Mountain Communities Wildfire ReLeaf will be planting approximately 70,000 seedlings again in Spring 2009. Dates are tentatively scheduled and will be dependent on the weather for each date selected. Dozens of Volunteers Replant Seeds of Life

CEDAR GLEN - Several yards from a charred pine, Bruce Cranfill and his 8-year-old son, Robert, delicately planted a sapling on a hillside Saturday morning in an effort to reforest acres left scarred by devastating wildfires last fall.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed in all areas of planting native seedlings in the San Bernardino Mountains. To help with the planting of native seedlings, e-mail Cheryl Nagy at cheryl.nagy@gmail.com

Reforestation of the 2003 and 2007 wildfire burned areas is one part of an ongoing forestry program designed to create a viable and sustainable healthy forest system for the future.
